This walk is hosted in honor of miracle Chase Michael Lewis, a vasa previa survivor, by his grandparents. On January 11, 2006, Chase Michael Lewis entered the world through an emergency C-section. Following an almost uneventful pregnancy, Kristen Lewis learned about vasa previa; Chase's entry was not uneventful. Her experience and commitment to increasing awareness lead Kristen to encourage family and friends to sponsor walks in Texas, North Carolina, and Florida; Kristen sponsored a walk in Kansas. |
